streets dotted with gourmet restaurants. it is the Gourmet Capital of
Ireland. Guided Walks of the town and scenic cruises of the harbour are
available daily.
Clonakilty has won many Tidy Town Awards and an European Extra Floral Award. It
is the birthplace of Michael Collins 1916 leader portrayed by Liam Neeson in the
film. Michael Collins. The Arigideen
Heritage Centre situated between Timoleague and Clonakilty 1/2 km off
R600, holds michael Collins evenings and tours and is a must visit for people to
the area.
Clonakilty is also famous for its Black Pudding and "Irish Yogurts" which are
served for Breakfast at Bridgeview Farmhouse B&B.
Courtmacsherry bay has some lovely sandy beaches which are 3 to 5 minutes
drive from Bridgeview BB. Deep sea fishing is available off Courtmacsherry pier.
 Touring: Bridgeview is the ideal base for touring Cork. To the East
you have Cobh (which was the last port of call for the Titanic) and Midleton
Jameson Whiskey Distillery Museum and Blarney Castle is a lovely day trip when
staying at Bridgeview B+B.
Going West to Skibbereen and Lough Ine, Cape Clear Island,
Sherkin Island & Mizen Head are some more ideal day trips. Killarney is only 1.5
hours direct drive from Bridgeview Farmhouse and guests can easily tour the Ring
of Kerry on a a day trip.
Equestrian: One of the most modern equestrian centres in Munster is
located 5 minutes drive from Bridgeview and guests of all riding abilities are
welcome there.
Golf courses to suit all tastes are available locally. Old Head of
Kinsale elite Golf Course where many top professionals come to play, 15 minute
drive. Bandon 18 hole golf course beautifully designed and maintained course 10
minutes drive. Dunmore 9 hole golf course 20 minute drive is
ideally situated overlooking Clonakilty Bay.
Cork Airport and Ringaskiddy Ferryport are a 40 minute drive from
Bridgeview.
Kilbrittain parish where Bridgeview is situated has many sandy beaches.
Kilbrittain castle is the oldest habited castle in Ireland. Coolmain Castle is
the European Base of Roy Disney (Walt Disneys Nephew). There are some peaceful
scenic and woodland walks suited to all types of walkers. Come to Bridgeview
